House elections committee meeting marked by turmoil over Soros comments
Read Article The House elections committee late Tuesday afternoon erupted in acrimony when two Democratic members abruptly left the meeting after accusing the chair of making antisemitic remarks about what he believed to be an ownership connection to a media outlet. The committee had met for a close to an hour where it agreed to revive a bill over the objection of Democrats that would move elections for cities, school boards and community colleges to even-numbered years.
