Legislative veto checklist: What was overridden, what wasn’t
Read Article Republicans dominated on Thursday when they overrode just about everything Gov. Laura Kelly handed them with a veto stamp. There was one misfire and there were several other pieces of legislation that hadn't been acted on or had been overridden by only one chamber. Here's a look at what happened on Thursday. There will be more override attempts on Friday when the Legislature will consider how to approach 31 line-item vetoes in the state budget.
